If we attempt to correct or change a childs or anothers behaviors without understanding the intention - the challenging behaviours will persist and/or esculate.
The Effective Parenting and Family Well Being and The Teenage Years- Sometimes Wild Always Wise courses are unique to other parenting courses available as we will seek to understand the cause and intention behind the challenging behaviours. Throughout the course you will feel empowered in the knowledge that all behaviours ( bed wetting, nail biting, aggression, passivity, school refusal, bullying, fears, eating 'disorders', self harming etc) make sense. My aim is to support parents and individuals to understand the intention and metaphor of the behaviours being presented - which will influence change. My courses and mentoring sessions offer a safe unconditional place for parents and individuals to share their experiences which can have a profound affect on personal and family relationships. The resolution of troubled and troublesome behaviours lies in unconditional relationships - with understanding, compassion and support, troubled behaviours will subside. I feel guilty because I am stressed and irritable with my children a lot of the time, I wish I could change.
My teenagers says I am too controlling and wants me to give her some 'space'.
My child is 'failing' in school, I want him to get good results.
My teenager is 'lazy', stays in her room all the time and doesn't get involved in family life.
